Our Mission
St Teresa of Avila Parish strives to be a vibrant, welcoming Catholic Community. We live out our fervent belief in Jesus Christ's presence among us by celebrating the Eucharist as a family and by embracing the Stewardship Way of Life. In this way we show our love for God and reach out to our neighbor in loving service.

From Our Patroness

St. Teresa
of Avila

"The most potent and acceptable prayer is the prayer that leaves the best effects. I don't mean it must immediately fill the soul with desire . . . The best effects [are] those that are followed up by actions-----when the soul not only desires the honor of God, but really strives for it.”

DEACON HORACE HAMOR

WELCOME

EVERY FRIDAY DURING LENT @ 7:00 PM-CHURCH

“Peace be with you!” With these words, the Risen Lord greeted his frightened Apostles in the Upper Room on the day of his Resurrection. Christ repeated the words, “Peace be with you.” Then he added, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them” (Jn 20:19-23)
This year, prepare for Easter by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. During Lent, every Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Hartford will be open on Mondays from 6:00-7:00 PM for Lenten Confessions.  For more information, visit: Light4you.info. THIS WILL TAKE THE PLACE OF OUR LENTEN PENANCE SERVICE.

LENTEN REGULATIONS For those whose health permits
ABSTINENCE from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 years old and older on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all Fridays of Lent.
FASTING is to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by all Catholics who are 18 years of age but not yet 59. Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal. Two smaller meals are permitted if necessary. Eating of solid food between meals is not permitted.
