Our Mission
St Teresa of Avila Parish strives to be a vibrant, welcoming Catholic Community. We live out our fervent belief in Jesus Christ's presence among us by celebrating the Eucharist as a family and by embracing the Stewardship Way of Life. In this way we show our love for God and reach out to our neighbor in loving service.

Are you looking for ways to make a meaningful contribution to our parish, to maintain your skills (or learn new skills!) and to interact with others?
Why not help our children be all they can be!! Become a catechist and use your talents that God has given you to help teach our faith to our children.
Essential to the success of the Religious Education program is having a dedicated group of adult and young adult volunteers willing to help and nurture our faith with our youth. It is an extremely important and rewarding ministry.
We are looking for men, women and High School youth to volunteer as: Catechists, Classroom Aides, Substitutes, and Hall Monitors.  All volunteers ages 18 and over are required to attend a Virtus Training Session and authorize a criminal background check. Classes will meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45-11:15 AM. Please contact Carol Moriarty at 203-263-2008 if you are interested in serving in this vital ministry.

Our St. Teresa's Annual Family Picnic will be on Sunday,
September 14th from 12:00 noon until 5:00 PM.
Come enjoy live music, picnic food (from 12-3 PM),
popcorn, children’s activities, and more.

CATHOLICS COMING HOME

St. Teresa’s community extends an invitation to our inactive brothers and sisters to explore the possibility of coming home. St. Teresa of Avila Church welcomes you all Home. If you have any questions please call Deacon Ralph at 203-263-2008.

Pope Francis said on November 24, 2013
“I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ, or at least an openness to letting him encounter them.
